Winter fun

It's that time of year! Time for all of the winter sports. We started this year off with a little sledding. Unfortunately, my camera ran out of batteries before I could get pictures. Here are the couple that I did get.

Yes, those are helmets. Since Damon had already knocked himself silly at school, we weren't taking any chances. Good thing we already had ski/snowboard helmets. We did have a great time and would like to go again soon. We just need some fresh snow.

The kids also started Jr. Jazz basketball this week. Madison has been excited to play since she was about 4 years old. Damon took a year or two off but decided to play again this year. They both are doing very well. Damon had a basket and a really good steal in his game yesterday. Madison did a great job on defense. She did get hit in the face with the ball, but now she knows that she has to pay attention when her team has the ball. However, she did suck it up and head back out to play. She is one tough princess.

We were able to go to the Jazz basketball game as a family the other night. The kids each got a ticket for playing and so we all went to the game. We had a great time.

Things are good here. The inversion has set in so Salt Lake is covered in yuck and smog. It makes me thankful to be outside of town. I am currently enjoying the beautiful sunshine, something that I haven't seen in town for a couple of weeks. We have finally had some warm days. I think we almost hit 40 the other day. (Hey, we take what we can get)
